Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 14, 2026
MIRROR is a social app for chatting, calling, sharing photos and videos, and sending gifts. This policy explains what information we collect, why, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. By using MIRROR you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
Account information. You sign in with Google. We receive your Google account identifier, your email address and your Google profile picture, and we store the username you choose.
Profile information. Details you add or that appear on your profile, such as your bio, age, gender, and your friends list.
Country. We detect your country automatically from your network connection. It is shown publicly next to your username.
Content you create. Chat messages, voice messages, photos (including view-once photos), posts (text, photo, video), short-lived Moments, reactions, and gifts you send or receive.
Calls. We keep call records such as who called whom, when, and for how long. We do not store the audio or video of your calls.
Wallet and payments. Your in-app wallet balance, deposits and withdrawals (including wallet addresses and blockchain transaction identifiers), gifts, and cards you buy or use.
Device and technical data. A push notification token for your device, app version, IP address, sign-in sessions, and security and diagnostic logs.
2. How we use your information
- To create your account, sign you in and keep your session secure.
- To deliver messages, calls, posts, Moments, gifts and notifications.
- To run the wallet: credit deposits, process withdrawals and gifts, and keep accurate balances.
- To show your public profile, your country, and your posts to other users as described below.
- To prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents, and to enforce our Terms of Service.
- To improve and maintain the app, and to meet legal obligations.
3. What other people can see
- Public: your username, profile picture, country, bio, and posts you publish to the global feed.
- Friends only: your Moments are shown only to your friends.
- Private: your chats are visible only to you and the person you chat with. Be aware that the other person can save or screenshot what you send, including view-once photos.
- Blockchain: wallet deposits and withdrawals take place on a public blockchain, where addresses and transactions are visible to anyone and cannot be erased.
4. How long we keep information
MIRROR is built to keep as little as possible on its servers.
- Chat messages: removed from our servers after 48 hours. Your chat history is kept on your own device.
- Voice messages: deleted after they are fully played, and unheard ones expire after 24 hours.
- View-once photos: deleted after they are viewed, and expire after 4 hours if not opened.
- Moments: expire after 24 hours.
- Feed posts: text posts are removed after 25 hours, and photo and video posts after 48 hours.
- Notifications: kept for 36 hours.
- Call records: kept for 30 days.
- Transaction and gift records: kept as long as needed to keep balances accurate, prevent fraud and meet legal and accounting duties. Older gift records may be moved to secure archive storage.
- Inactive accounts: if you do not use MIRROR for 7 days, your account and its data may be deleted. Accounts that hold wallet funds are not deleted automatically. For security, you are signed out after 48 hours of inactivity.
5. Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:
- Trusted service providers that help us run MIRROR, such as providers for sign-in, secure cloud hosting and storage, push notifications, real-time voice and video calling, and access to the blockchain network. They may process data only to provide their services to us.
- Authorities or other parties when the law requires it, or when needed to protect users, prevent fraud or defend our rights.
- A successor organization if MIRROR is merged, sold or reorganized.
6. Security
We protect data in transit with encryption and limit access to our systems. No service is completely secure, so please keep your Google account protected and never share your sign-in with others.
7. Your choices and rights
- Delete your account: you can delete your account in the app. This removes your profile and content. Your in-app wallet balance is deleted with it, so withdraw any funds first.
- Access, correct or delete: you can edit your profile in the app, or contact us to ask for a copy of your data or its deletion.
- Notifications: you can turn push notifications off in your phone settings.
- Depending on where you live (for example the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom), you may have additional rights, including objecting to or restricting processing, data portability, and complaining to your local data protection authority. Contact us to use these rights.
8. Children
MIRROR is only for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor is using MIRROR, contact us and we will remove the account.
9. International use
MIRROR is used worldwide, and our providers may process data in countries other than your own. We take steps so that your information stays protected wherever it is handled.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above shows the latest version. If we make important changes, we will notify you in the app.
